The Fragrance Is Truly Uplifting ! I Smell This Every Morning :)

One part of me hates the hot and humid weather but on the other hand, I love it for my plants.  The flowers are blooming beautifully in my unkept garden :p   The  miniature 'jasmine ' plant - I don't really know the botanical name for this flower , is flowering . I apologize for not being able to give the name of the plant , but I know it belongs to the jasmine family.  The fragrance from this flower is exactly like the jasmine flowers.  The flowers are tiny white and the fragrance is like the fragrance from the Jasmine flower.  I planted the plant near my letter box . And each time , I open the letter box, I bound to smell the sweet fragrant of refreshing !  The flowers bloom through out the year. The flowers look pristine white and pure and smell good.  Every morning , I will not stop to look at them.  They truly are inspirting - reminding me what a great Creator I have and this flower reminds me to stay pure and holy unto The Lord  :)   God is good..even in such an unkept condition, the garden smells good and still looks great with flowers blooming everywhere :)   God is good all the time and all the time God is good !

Thanksgiving prayer taken from here

Lord, the world around me is proof of your bounty.
Beauty and comfort surround me.
I am blessed by your special gifts to me.
You made me in your image and gave me all that I need for living and being content.
Thank you Lord for all these bountiful gifts.
Help me to always remember the source of my being and of all that I have and enjoy
Remind me that all that I have is given by you alone
Remind me to praise you in all things.
In Christ’s name I pray.

' Lantern Chillies ' Are In Full Bloom

I was surprised to see my ' Lantern Chilli ' in full bloom :)  The plant is almost three feet tall and growing well.  I thought it would take at least 6 months to get acclimatize to lowland ground but it is flowering and in full bloom after just 3 months after which Josh brought it back from Cameron Highland for me.   I hope the birds will not feed on them or even if they do, I pray they will leave a few for me .  I love the fragrant smell and the hotness of these chillies .These chillies are great in light soy sauce and is a great accompaniment for noodles . The hot climate is good for the plant.  I noticed that it needs plenty of water too :)  Will keep you updated on  the chillies when they are ripe for plucking.  Now I pray that the birds will leave them alone :p   I am looking forward to harvesting them in a month's time .  Stay tuned for the updates.

Almost As Good As Your Dog

If you can start the day without caffeine,
If you can get going without pep pills,
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when your loved ones are too
busy to give you any time.
If you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct him,
If you can resist treating a rich friend better than an poor friend,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
If you can say honestly that deep in your heart you have no
prejudice against creed, color, religion or politics,
THEN, my friend, you are almost as good as your dog.

My Rosemary Plant Is Flowering... Another Surprise!

Another thing I discovered in this unkept garden of mine was my rosemary plant is flowering :)  Nothing makes me more happy than to see my herbs and plants flowering and fruiting.  This is to show that I can now reap what I sowed  LOL!  sounded familiar ?   Yea, I do spend time in my garden but just of late been too busy with church activities.  But somehow, God is great.  Though the garden looks unkept, the plants are doing well .  The weather may be hot but it does rain in the night thus, even though I did not watered the plants of late, God waters them for me...thus they are looking good :)  I definitely must find time to do up the garden again :)

Jewels From The Garden... Lantern Chillies!

My garden is really in an unkept condition.  I was so busy with church activities since the beginning of 2013 and guess what, my garden is so bushy with wild plants that I can't see what is blooming and what is fruiting in this small bushy and unkept garden of mine.  I was looking for some calamansi  from the garden and suddenly hidden amongst some wild plants, I saw two large lantern chillies really for plucking :)  Wow, this are the first fruiting from this lantern chilli plant which Elaine, my son's girl friend gifted me.  It is as big as my thumb LOL!   This is the most pungent chilli ever and it has a nice fragrant to it besides the hottest chilli.  I am happy it has started fruiting , this means if I add in organic fertilisers , the plant will bear more chillies.  But I am happy with the two chillies .  I am sure there will be more coming in the next fruiting !  Stay tuned for more news on my unkept garden :)  This plant is from Cameron Highland.
